Be the envy of your friends with this fancy Mardi Gras crochet mask. Fun to wear for Mardi Gras or hang on your wall. This elegant mask looks complicated but you can make one too! Requirements: Intermediate crochet skills (Single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, picot stitch and slip stitch) Must be comfortable using small hooks.
Take a deep dive into the world of jewelry with this mechanisms intensive focused on hinges. Learn to spot different styles of hinges and when best to use them in this hands-on workshop. Participants will leave with hinge samples and a completed mini, hinged jewelry box. Prior soldering experience requested (but not required) to glean the most from this workshop.
The Art of Notan is embodied in the ancient symbol, "Yin and Yang". Create stunning graphic imagery using black and white paper and scissors.

Create your own sacred feminine doll to inspire and empower. We will use a simple technique, which involves wrapping fabric strips around an armature of sticks. These dolls can then be embellished with beads, cords, buttons, wire, sequins, or small items that can be easily attached. No prior doll-making experience required, only a willingness to experiment.
Learn the traditional art of chainmaille cold-joining processes with a contemporary twist in non-precious metals. Fabricate a swirled chain link in bright aluminum and enameled copper to create a bracelet perfect for casual wear or a special event.
Creatives of all metalworking levels ages 12 yrs + are welcome. (Cost includes aluminum/enameled copper materials).
Using the poem The Guest House by Rumi as a metaphor for the self, we will create a ‘house’ with clear Mylar and other elements. We will fill it with ‘aspects’ of ourselves and how we welcome experiences and unexpected ‘guests’ into our lives. After discussion of the poem and writing a personal poetic response to the poem. 10:30am-1:00pm, Sat, March 23rd.
